The “2nd International Engineering, Design and Innovative Research Symposium” (ISEDIR 2025), hosted by Sinop University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, brought the scientific world together online.
The symposium attracted great interest from scientists, private sector officials and students.
Our University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Rıza Bayrak, who made the opening speech of the program, thanked the organizing committee and volunteers and said, “This symposium provides an important platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration in the fields of engineering and design. I congratulate all our stakeholders who contributed to the organization and I believe that the discussions and exchanges that will emerge here will contribute to the sector.”

In the symposium where a total of 11 sessions will be held in 2 days; 7 studies in the field of Environmental Sciences and Technologies, 7 studies in the field of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, 7 studies in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, 7 studies in the field of Biotechnology and Artificial Intelligence, 6 studies in the field of Chemical Engineering, 7 studies in the field of Nuclear Energy Engineering, 7 studies in the field of Applied Environmental Sciences and Engineering, 7 studies in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 7 studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering, 7 studies in the field of Civil Engineering, 4 studies in the field of Architectural Design and Urban Sciences, a total of 73 studies were presented from 27 different universities and 5 private sectors. There are a total of 5 foreign participants in the symposium from Iraq, Afghanistan, Romania, Saudi Arabia and Iran.

At ISEDIR 2025, scientists, private sector representatives and students came together to share information, discuss problems and present solution proposals. All of the papers presented at the symposium will be published in the “Abstracts Book” prepared in English. In addition, participants who wish to publish their work at the symposium as an article were also given the opportunity to publish their work in peer-reviewed journals within Sinop University.
